Margy MacMillan is a Senior Researcher at PIL. She is one of the co-researchers on the PIL News Study. She recently retired from Mount Royal University after 27 years working in Information Literacy and more recently in the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL). Between her graduation from the Dalhousie MLS program in 1986 and her work with MRU, she worked at the University of Calgary and helped set up a school library on the Tsuu T’ina Nation. Her research interests include the transfer of learning from academia to life and work, academic reading, and the development of disciplinary identities.
