Alaina is a researcher with PIL and the First Year Experience Librarian at The University of Washington Tacoma. In her role at UW Tacoma, her favorite part of her job is facilitating two book groups, one focused on fiction and one on non-fiction. Prior to this position, Alaina has worked in the community college system and as a consulting information architect. She began working with PIL in 2016 as the Emerging Research Fellow on the learning spaces study and was a PIL Research Fellow for 2017. She holds a Masters of Library and Information Science from the University of Washington.
